The biggest problem! A large-scale intervention is needed to SAVE THE CHILDREN of Pygmies: on 10 born children, only 4 children arrive to 15 years! The 45 % dies before 5 years.
Causes: the abandonment of the children (babies in the family), too mobile life in forest (rain, cold, sun), wounds and various diseases, never treated, if not sometimes by "connaisseurs" (knower), but with what perseverance? No vaccinations… impossibility to reach health centers because of high prices, they do not even exist in their area. |
